Terms of service
1. About us and these terms
www.splitcanvasprints.co.uk is operated by Xiamen Daji Import & Export Co., Ltd., trading as Split Canvas Prints (“we”, “us” and “our”). We are responsible for products and services ordered from this website.
You can contact us at support@splitcanvasprints.co.uk or through our Contact Us page.
These terms explain how our website and consumer orders work. Read them alongside the product information, our Shipping Policy, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy. Keep a copy of the terms and your order confirmation. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you.
2. Your order
Please provide accurate contact and delivery details and check the product, quantity, size and selected options before ordering. If you have an account, keep your login details secure and tell us about any unauthorised use.
Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your order is accepted when we confirm acceptance after processing payment. If we cannot accept an order, we will tell you and refund any payment received for it. If a price or description needs correcting before acceptance, we will explain the correction and let you decide whether to proceed; we will not charge an increased amount without your agreement.
We also welcome wholesale and dropshipping enquiries. Please contact us for the applicable business quotation and terms. This does not remove rights you have when buying as a consumer.
3. Prices and payment
Prices on this UK website are in pounds sterling (GBP). The total payable, including applicable taxes and any delivery charge, will be shown before you complete payment. UK delivery is free on all orders. We do not add an undisclosed compulsory charge after you place your order.
We accept PayPal and the card options shown at payment, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover through PayPal. Use a payment method you are authorised to use. Price changes apply to future orders and do not change the agreed price of an accepted order.
4. Photos, sizes and design approval
For personalised products, supply the original, highest-resolution image available and check your crop, panel arrangement and selected dimensions. Enlarging a small file does not necessarily improve print detail. Keep important faces and text away from panel joins. If you are unsure about suitability, contact us before ordering.
Screen settings and printed materials can affect how colours appear. Room images illustrate the artwork in a setting; use the stated panel dimensions to measure your space and allow for gaps between panels. These explanations do not remove your right to goods that match their description and are of satisfactory quality.
Where we provide a design for approval, check it carefully and tell us about any requested changes before approving it. We will not treat a request for a change as approval.
5. The £4.99 custom request deposit
The deposit is credited in full towards your final order total and deducted from the remaining balance. After receiving your design details, we will send you a design and final quote for your approval before printing.
If you are unhappy with the design before you have explicitly approved it, you can request a full refund of the deposit. After explicit design approval, the deposit is not refundable merely because you change your mind. Your statutory rights remain, including where we do not provide what was agreed.
6. Dispatch, delivery and responsibility for your parcel
Orders are dispatched within 48 hours. Estimated UK delivery is 4–6 working days after dispatch. A custom request still awaiting design and quotation approval is not ready for production; we will confirm its production and delivery arrangements with you.
See our Shipping Policy for other destinations and delivery details. If your parcel is delayed, missing or damaged, contact us so we can investigate and provide the remedy due. Delivery estimates do not remove your legal rights if delivery is late.
Where we arrange delivery, we remain responsible for the goods until you, or someone you nominate, physically receives them. If you independently commission a carrier we did not offer, responsibility passes when that carrier receives the goods, as provided by consumer law.
7. Changes, cancellations and returns
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. We can cancel if you contact us within 12 hours of placing it, subject to the design-deposit terms where you have already approved a design.
After 12 hours, we will try to stop production or intercept the shipment. If we agree to cancel a personalised order, we may deduct only reasonable, unrecoverable costs already incurred for that order. We will take reasonable steps to reduce them and explain the amount and breakdown. Any retained design deposit counts towards the same costs, so you are not charged twice.
A correctly fulfilled item made using your own image or individual specifications cannot be returned merely because you change your mind. This exception does not automatically apply to non-personalised goods or to faulty, incorrect or damaged items.
For non-personalised goods bought online, you can notify us of cancellation within 14 days after delivery and return them within a further 14 days. The Refund Policy explains the return address, return postage, refund timing and any permitted deduction for excessive handling. Sale items have the same statutory rights as full-price items.
8. If something is wrong
If your canvas arrives damaged, is faulty or does not match your order, email your order number, details and clear photographs where possible. Once the issue is confirmed, we will arrange a free replacement without asking you to return the original. Where you are legally entitled to a refund, we will provide one. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Our Refund Policy gives the full process. Any request to report a problem promptly does not shorten your statutory rights. Approved refunds go to the original payment method.
9. Your images and our website content
You retain ownership of images you supply. You must own them or have the permissions needed for us to reproduce them for your order. You give us permission to use those images only as needed to assess, prepare, print and fulfil your order, including work by service providers acting for us.
We will not use your supplied photos publicly or for marketing without separate written permission. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. This is separate from permission you may choose to give for publishing a review.
Do not upload unlawful material, infringe another person’s rights or misuse the website. Our artwork, branding and website content remain protected by the rights of their owners. Buying a print does not transfer copyright or permission to reproduce the design commercially.
10. Shopify and other services
Shopify provides the platform used to run this website. Your purchase contract is with us. Payment and other service providers may process information needed to supply their services, as explained in our Privacy Policy. Links to external websites do not change our responsibility for your order or your statutory rights.
11. Our responsibilities and resolving a problem
We are responsible for meeting our contract and the consumer-law standards that apply to our goods and services. We do not exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.
Please contact us first if there is a problem so we can try to resolve it. You are not required to use compulsory arbitration in another country. Nothing in these terms prevents a UK consumer from relying on mandatory consumer protections or bringing a claim in a court with jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future use of the website and future orders. An update does not retrospectively change the terms of an order already accepted. If any provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply so far as the law allows.
